Profile: Peter Sperico

Your personal background.
I am a Nurse Practitioner with a MS in Nursing. I was a Student Intern at Brookhaven National Laboratory, at age 16, working with Dr. Laws who was doing a research experiment analyzing DNA mutations due to Synchrotron Radiation. Brook Haven National Lab is a Department of Energy Facility that had a 5-mile circular accelerator and atom smasher. Prior to becoming a Nurse Practitioner, I was a Physic Major But had problems with Calculus. Yes I am still working on it, and still hope to be able to contribute to Astrophysics, as well as the study of physics and quantum mechanics.
Your opinions about Asteroids@home
Asteroids, as well as comets and other celestial objects have the potential to affect man kind and Earth. Learning about the rotation, spin, or movement in space may give us more information that may help us to learn how to prevent collisions and/or to move them so to avoid the collision. I am sure that the rotation or the spin of these objects will be important to know to change their course in space. Obviously, these studies may be very import to minimize a strick to earth.
