Your personal background. |
My name is Peter, I`m 37 years old living in Montreal, Canada. In brief, I’m a perpetual student in the electrical / computer fields, working as a PC Technician / IT Support. As well, an avid sci-fi buff and a definite bookworm on myriad subjects, though science predominating. My current hobby includes classic arcade game emulation / restoration among other (out of the blue) projects. Astronomy being my most influential element has always compelled me to inquire about the universe, to seek out answers about not only my surroundings but of myself, in the quest of learning who I am and where to go from here. |
Your opinions about Asteroids@home |
Making a contribution to this particular project enables me to maintain this fascination for the universe alive... it gives me the profound conviction that we are all travelers among travelers in this expanse of endless destinations and hidden possibilities. I believe the project, as many others like it will inevitably help humanity grasp a better understanding of the mechanics of this universe adamant in understanding itself, perhaps a universe among many others. The concepts behind such projects are ingenious and in my view of great value given the unprecedented sheer computing power never equaled in history, at our disposal. I would hope these efforts will not be hindered by political or monetary impediments in the future but on the contrary, progress exponentially. If one constant in human nature should prevail, curiosity, put to good use, should remain at the forefront of science. Simply, keep the projects alive! :) |
