Your personal background.
The majority of the following article applies to SMF 2.0
and higher. Some points may still apply to older versions, but they are not guaranteed to apply in all cases.
Account Activation - Administrators can decide
to either ask their new members to visit an activation link sent to a newly registered member by email or to put all
the newly registered members in the approval queue, and then personally activate only the non-spammer accounts.
The Captcha - Administrators can set a verification code (also known as a 'captcha') that
users have to decipher in order to be able to proceed
with the registration. Verification Questions - Administrators can introduce a number of custom questions and answers.
Users that are registering have to answer correctly to allow registration. Here you can enable
several different methods of registration employed for new members, as you can see in the first drop down. The level of complexity for a verification code can be set from
none (no verification code displayed) to extreme (the letters
are extremely distorted and it should be very difficult to decipher for
the automated spammers).

” for multiple characters. The final setting, “Calculated Spam Score,”
allows you to change the score associated with a test.

Advanced users should only use this setting. SpamAssassin developers calibrate scores, and changing them is likely to have unpredictable side effects.
For most users, configuring SpamAssassin is as
simple as activating it and choosing whether to use the Spam Box or Auto-Delete.

You may need to adjust the default Threshold Score to suit your email hosting scenario,
but once that’s done, SpamAssassin will work in the background
to ensure that spam ends up where it belongs. Any company that is flooded with hundreds of spam messages each day, and thousands per week, is in danger of being compromised.
The risk of exposing your email addresses or compromising your servers is one that is not
worth the fallout. Identifying and filtering unwanted messages requires greater security tools like Apache
SpamAssassin which is specifically designed to identify
spam before it gets where you don’t want it to go.

There are usually large blank spaces at the top of the email, and
you can sometimes tell when it includes a snapshot of a page because it
isn’t clickable. An easy way to identify a scammers
and spam email is when you don’t use a service provided by
the company that is reaching out to you, or if you don’t have an account with this
company. For example, receiving an email from a bank that you’ve never used.
They will probably try to add scare tactics by saying your account has been compromised and needs to be updated.
On the other hand, they will say there is a large sum of money waiting in your account that needs to be accepted by logging in.
In some cases, they will set up the email to make you believe
your account is on hold, or suspended, and needs to
be confirmed via a link.

You can also add Giphy to Slack or other messaging platforms.
To do this, right-click on the GIF and select "Save." Then, navigate to the
email and right-click where you want the GIF to display and click "Paste." You can also click on a specific GIF on the Giphy website to visit
the GIF's specific page. On this page, you find options to copy an embed code or a
link or send it directly to another person using social media channels or email.

The link and the embed code both work on most email platforms.
Copy and paste either where you want the GIF to appear.
You can insert a GIF in Outlook, Gmail or any other common email platform and the email will still encounter the same issue on the receiving end.

Lead with a plain text email and do not send a GIF until
you receive a response. After you receive the response, the recipient's email server has identified you as a
trusted source. Send the GIF in any email going forward, and it should be
received unless the receiving party manually flags the email as
spam.

In today’s digital age, email remains one of the most effective ways to
communicate with clients, customers, and colleagues. However, with the constant influx of emails flooding our inboxes
every day, it can be a challenge to stand out and make a lasting impression. That’s where personalized email
templates come into play. By harnessing the power of personalization in your professional email templates, you can elevate your
communication strategy and leave a lasting impact on your recipients.
Personalized emails have been proven to have higher open rates and click-through rates compared to generic mass emails.

When you address your recipient by their name or tailor your
message to their specific needs or interests, it shows that
you value them as an individual and not just another name on a mailing list.

This level of personalization creates a sense of trust and rapport between you and
your recipient, increasing the likelihood that they will engage with your content.

The subject line is often the first thing that recipients see when they receive
an email from you.
