Your personal background.
Other spam messages are not meant to be read by humans, but are instead posted to increase the number of
links to a particular website, to boost its search engine ranking.
One way to prevent spambots from creating automated posts is to require the poster
to confirm their intention to post via email.
Since most spambot scripts use a fake email address when posting, any email confirmation request is unlikely to be successfully routed to them.
Some spambots will pass this step by providing a valid email address and use it for validation, mostly via webmail services.
Using methods such as security questions are also proven to be effective
in curbing posts generated by spambots, as they are
usually unable to answer it upon registering, also on various forums, consistent
uploading of spam will also gain the person the title 'spambot'.
A Twitterbot is a program used to produce automated posts
on the Twitter microblogging service, or to automatically follow Twitter users.
Twitterbots come in various forms. For example, many serve as spam, enticing clicks on promotional links.
These automatic tweets are often seen as funny or silly.
Some Twitter users even program Twitterbots to assist themselves with scheduling
or reminders. Temperton, James (31 March 2015). "Tinder Cuts Sexy Spambot Traffic by 90 Percent".

In general, unsolicited messages telling you to 'verify account details' or
'update your account information' should be treated
with caution. If you need to, navigate to the relevant website
yourself - by typing the URL directly into your browser or searching for it
via a search engine - and log in to your account
without clicking on the link in the email. Spammers often try
to apply pressure by creating a sense of urgency.
For example, the subject line may contain words like
“urgent” or “immediate action required” -
to pressure you into acting. Although some spam messages are sophisticated, a potential red
flag is being addressed in vague terms, like “Dear Valued Customer” and so
on. Legitimate companies to which you have subscribed will know your name and will address emails accordingly.
Typos and bad grammar are red flags. So too are odd phrasing or unusual syntax, which
might result from the email being translated back and forth through
Google Translate several times.

It occurred to me at the time that if Balmer had been really mad and had fired everyone involved, the
company would have promptly collapsed. A few days before the company
meeting a memo with a name tag stapled to it appeared in everybody's
interoffice mailbox. The memo closed with the line "Please wear the name tag to the meeting. It is your ticket to entrance and refreshments." (In those days,
we didn't have badges. Todd Newman and Raymond had an inspiration. The
composed a memo which was nearly identical to the name tag memo, but it
was changed in a few crucial ways. It concluded "Please wear the Bouncy Ball to the meeting. It is your ticket to entrance and refreshments".
Raymond, Todd, Terry Lipscomb, and I distributed these and
a Bouncy Ball to every IO mailbox in the company, all 500.

And people did it. Most of the speakers wore a bouncy ball.

TandyT used a pushpin through his lapel, into the ball.

In the age of social distancing, a thin line may exist between professional and personal life.
If you are a parent then your work from home just got a bit harder.

You may have to help your kids with their school work while dealing with your
client at the same time. Your time becomes really precious.

Let’s say one moment you have to deal with all your Inbox emails and it’s a must
do task. You tell your kids that you will be done in the next 5
minutes and that you can take a 20 minutes break
to help them out with their school work. However,
all of a sudden you see your Outlook Inbox folder and
it says that you have 13 unread emails. Now if you reply and file these emails to the correct client folders
it might take time. What do we do. We reply to these emails
obviously but we do not have the time to file them.
