You can disable comments on your pages by clicking on Settings→Discussion. However, this one is
tricky because who doesn’t love to receive a comment from a visitor or a potential client?
This setting applies to a person who operates a website that does not require its visitors to comment.
Or it could be that you have written an article about a touchy subject that
you don’t want people to comment on because you don’t want to start a
debate. You can disable comments on that specific post
and save yourself lots of headaches. WordPress allows you
to disable anonymous comments, and this a good spam protection.
You choose to receive comments only from people who are willing to write
down their name and other contact information. This makes the
spambots’ lives harder to send you spam. They can still send you spam but trust us;
they will have a harder time doing so.

In fact, it turns out heat waves tend to be more dangerous in cooler climates, where high temperatures are a larger deviation from the norm.

This heat is especially dangerous for the elderly, many of
whom already face heart and lung problems. The massive, almost year-round wildfires we’ve been seeing in the western US can scarcely
be described as “natural.” While wildfires are an important part of many ecosystems, the destruction wrought
by the towering infernos we saw this year like the
Carr Fire in July were worsened by human activity. First, people ignite the vast majority of fires.
The Carr Fire, for example, was started by sparks from a broken-down vehicle.
The likelihood of igniting wildfires continues to rise as populations grow and
people build their homes closer to fire-prone areas.

This also increases the damage from the fires that do occur, since property
ends up so close to flammable vegetation. Policies like active fire suppression have also
paradoxically increased the risks from wildfires.

The Bedfordshire town has a Muslim population of 20,000 and has been linked
with a string of high-profile extremists. Last year Muslim protesters
disrupted a homecoming march of soldiers returning from
Afghanistan. It has also emerged Abdulwahab - who had lived
in the UK for 10 years - visited radical Islamic websites and Facebook groups including one which offers advice on preparing
for Judgement Day. Another website he visited - Yawm Al-Qiyaamah - shows pictures of Tower
Bridge engulfed by flames and has more than 8,000 followers.
His Facebook page features an Islamic flag being raised over a world in flames.
Police were investigating Abdulwahab’s British connections last night.
Neighbours in Luton suggested that his wife, who herself has fundamentalist views,
and their children are still living there. A terraced property in the Bedfordshire town was cordoned off today, with officers seen going in and out.

Neighbour Noreen Hussain, 30, said the person who lived at the house at the centre of police activity was a family man.
