Your personal background.
Alice may not have an MUA on her computer but instead may connect
to a webmail service. Domains usually have several
mail exchange servers so that they can continue to accept
mail even if the primary is not available. Many MTAs used to accept messages for any recipient on the Internet and do their best to deliver them.
Such MTAs are called open mail relays. This was very important in the early days of the Internet when network connections were unreliable.
MTAs do not accept messages from open mail relays.
RFC 5322, with encoding of non-ASCII data and multimedia content attachments defined
in RFC 2045 through RFC 2049, collectively called Multipurpose Internet Mail
Extensions or MIME. The extensions in International
email apply only to email. RFC 5322 replaced the earlier RFC
2822 in 2008, then RFC 2822 in 2001 replaced RFC 822 - the standard for Internet email for
decades.

However, if spammers switch their email domain, the email might be able to trick the system and penetrate the filter until it is identified once again as spam.
Enterprises often create their own blocklist filter to protect their business interests.

For example, they can block headhunters who seek to poach
their top talent for the benefit of other companies, including direct
competitors. They can also block emails
deemed to waste their employees' time, e.g., emails with special offers.
Content filters. Content filters examine the contents of
each email and use that information to decide whether it is spam or not.
These filters tend to work because spam email content is often predictable, offering deals,
promoting explicit content or targeting basic human feelings, such as desire and fear.

Those types of spammers tend to use target words, like special offer or discount, several times, which may trigger the filter.
Some organizations also use content filters to examine emails for inappropriate
language and block them accordingly.

Imagine for a moment, a street hawker in the 19th century.
Now imagine how relieved they’d be if their daily
work (shouting about their goods to passersby) was automated.
Yes, the OG form of advertising continues… ’s
in our inboxes. And it’s called spam. With the advent of technology, spam has proliferated, and in turn, spam
filters have ratcheted up their efforts to block unwanted
messages. Many would now say that the biggest challenge is getting your messages to cut-through the white noise (and get around the spam filters) that
are everywhere. So how do you get through the filters, if your message is
worthwhile? By taking a look at your spam
scores. What are email spam scores? Getting legitimate email
delivered is a major challenge. There are 333 billion emails coming from mail servers
every day, but 1 in 6 don’t even reach a mailbox. That is because the messages within the emails are rated by email
checking code, and a score is returned.

There’s one key thing, though, you need to learn right from the beginning because they’re super important: it’s Merge Tags.
Merge tags are dynamic tokens you can feature and use when it comes to crafting your emails to
make them look and sound more personal. These tokens pull
data from your audience and your account (audience
merge tags and system merge tags). “, all of
them will receive a nice email with their name on. That’s a nice
touch, isn’t it? Here’s another one: let’s say you need to send
an email confirmation to someone but before that, you need
them to double-check whether their email address in your records is the correct one (btw, follow these tips if you need to find anyone’s
email address). ’s email address in your own message.
There are plenty of Merge Tags you could take advantage of,
many of which will show their full potential when it comes to building automation sequences and segmenting your audience.
