Your personal background.
Phishers often use social media and company websites to gather personal information-information that helps them craft incredibly branded, personalized attacks
that can cause recipients to lower their guard and provide a quick response.
Forbes Technology Council is an invitation-only community
for world-class CIOs, CTOs and technology executives.
One common phishing attack is email spoofing. This occurs when an attacker
sends an email that appears to come from a trusted source.
These emails often contain convincing logos, sender
names and content, and the goal is to deceive recipients into
clicking on malicious links, downloading malware or
providing sensitive information. Phishing scams often rely on urgency.
The malicious message will give you a time-bound reason to log into
a trusted platform, such as, “Log in to confirm your account within 24
hours or it will be deactivated.” Don’t allow yourself to
be rushed; when in doubt, take the time to access your
account through the login page, never the link in the email.

This may be helpful to allow the flash flood water to flow without interruption and
reduce the vulnerability of coastal development. The existing dams in the study
area were investigated to test their efficiencies using GIS tools and field checking (Omran 2013).
These dams were constructed by Water Resources Research Institute (WRRI)
in Wadi El-Ghaieb and Wadi El-Genah in 2006 to protect the main road
between Dahab and Nuweiba. A new protection system has been proposed by (Omran 2013) to upgrade the current protection level and increase its
storage efficiency in order to protect the local inhabitants
(Bedouins) and main infrastructures in Dahab basin against floods.
To protect the area of the WDB from flash floods,
the following should be taken into consideration: (1) protection tools such
as retention dams for the Delta of the WDB should
be applied at the headwater area of the basin; (2) implementing commonly used structures such as detention dams,
cisterns, mitigation canals are highly recommended
in order to mitigate the effects of flash floods, store water behind these dams,
and augment the existing groundwater aquifers.

Others tell you to add them to your trusted list.
That’s why it’s best to avoid interacting with suspicious emails.
Blocking emails from specific senders is an effective way to stop spam,
as long as they don’t consistently change email addresses.

Some emails come from senders that don’t comply
with FTC laws and regulations. More specifically, they don’t offer an option to unsubscribe or opt out of receiving emails.

You can faithfully block those that come from the same email address.
Most email services offer users a way to block senders in just a
few steps. 1. Open Gmail and then open one of
the sender’s messages. 2. Click on More in the top right corner.
3. Click on Block. Interestingly, most email services ignore
all periods in the address before the domain name.
This means you can use a version of your email address with periods whenever you want
to sign up for a service that could be a source of spam
messages.

These new risk assessments have now been factored into premium costs.
Those with the greatest risk will see the largest increases.

FEMA provides a breakdown of how Risk Rating 2.0 impacted
premiums. You can view information about your state, county or
zip code. What are the flood insurance policy limits?
What does it cover? Flood insurance can be inexpensive for low-risk areas.
For low-risk homes with a maximum coverage of $250,000 for
the dwelling and $100,000 for possessions, the premiums are $436
per year and slightly higher if you have a basement. You'll also pay a new surcharge of $25 for
primary residences, or $250 for nonresidential property
and second homes. Similar coverage can cost more than $2,500 in a high-risk area.

If you’re a renter, the NFIP offers affordable flood insurance to protect your possessions
in the event of a flood. There is a maximum coverage of $100,000 for contents-only coverage.
