The pair get along well, too. Canelo appeared on Tyson’s podcast,
where they bonded over their dislike of school (we
can all relate) and ‘Iron Mike’ sung Alvarez’s
praises as a fighter.
Canelo later returned the compliment when asked which historic boxer’s power he’d
love to borrow. “Mike Tyson, because he had a brutal punch,” the 31-year-old told DAZN.
“'Even if he grazed you, he'd knock you out.”
"Yeah, I do (think Tyson will beat you)," Ngannou told Paul on "BS w/ Jake Paul." "Listen, I have seen how Tyson moves around just like to show me stuff. ... He's still got it. Either way, I think Mike Tyson will beat you.
Struggle hit Mike Tyson and his family starting from the day he was born. When Tyson was two years old and his father Jimmy Kirkpatrick left the family, all the family burden came onto the shoulders of Lorna Smith Tyson (Tyson’s mother). The family became poverty-stricken, and they were moving from one place to another. Even when they finally settled in an urban slum of Brownsville, the living conditions were pathetic. They had no money. The neighborhood was smelly and filled with crime.
After retiring from the boxing career, Tyson started acting in movies and television. In 2009, he made his debut in the big screen with the movie ‘The Hangover’, where he made an uncharacteristic appearance.
In the summer of 1995, Washington settled a civil lawsuit with Tyson for an undisclosed amount, but she has never profited off her story in any way. By all accounts, Washington has lived up to her promise to Walters and has not been heard from since. One of the final things she said during the interview was the reason she put herself through the public hell of a trial was to protect other women. Had Tyson apologized and sought the help he needed, she wouldn’t have. The 108-pound Washington declared, “You hurt me and I was big enough to stand up to you.”
“Life has beat me into submission. Life was tougher than me so I’m trying to go the other way now... I’m committed and living the other way,” Tyson said. “I learned gratitude. This is what I learned from life kicking my ass. I learned gratitude.”
In November 2013, Tyson stated "the more I look into the churches and mosques for god, the more I start seeing the
devil". But, just a month later, in a December 2013 interview with Fox News, Tyson said that he is very grateful to be a Muslim and that he needs Allah in his life. In the same interview Tyson talked about his progress with sobriety and how being in the company of good people has made him want to be a better and more humble person. |
